- Spiral New Moon Tarot Spread
A 5-Card Tarot Spread to Nurture Growth and Reveal What Hinders Each New Moon is a portal. It opens when the Sun and Moon meet in the same part of the sky, highlighting a specific area of your chart and life. The sky is divided into twelve sections, each aligned with one of the zodiac signs. That’s why each New Moon holds a unique focus determined by the zodiac sign. I like to mark this moment with intention setting and the Spiral New Moon Tarot Spread. This spread helps you plant seeds, track your growth, and evolve with each lunar cycle. It's not just a reading — it’s a rhythm, a spiral that moves you forward while connecting you to whats hidden in your unconscious mind. The spiral new moon tarot spread is made up of five cards. Each one corresponds with a key phase of the lunar cycle: New Moon, Waxing Moon (First Quarter), Full Moon, and Waning Moon (Last Quarter). The fifth card connects to the upcoming New Moon and becomes your first card in the next cycle. This creates a continuous loop of intention, growth, and reflection. A true spiral practice. How to Lay Out Your Spiral New Moon Tarot Spread Use this spread on the days of the New Moon. You can find the dates and times of the new moon and other phases at The Moonth. Shuffle your deck and pull one card for each of the following prompts: What is the intentional seed of the new moon? What do you nurture to grow at the waxing moon? What do you celebrate or forgive at the full moon? What do you release at the waning moon? *What is the seed for the next new moon? <- This is the spiral! At the next new moon card 5 will become card 1. This is how each new moon is connected to the last and the next creating a spiral of your experience. Journal your impressions, jot down keywords, or sketch the card images. Get the free New Moon Manifestation guide or share your reading in Moon Club. How to Use the Spread Throughout the Moon Cycle Each card acts as a checkpoint that becomes relevant during the phase it represents. As the moonth unfolds throughout its 29 1/2 day cycle, return to your spread weekly. Reflect on the card linked to the current phase and let it shape your mindset, your actions, or your awareness. Sometimes, a card's meaning will be instantly clear. You’ll see how it applies right away. Other times, the insight arrives in hindsight. It may take the full cycle, or even the next one, to reveal its wisdom. Both are valid. That’s how the spiral works. Trust that everything becomes clear when you are ready to receive the message. Tips for Interpreting Your Cards If a difficult or "negative" card shows up in the New Moon or Waxing position, consider it something you are actively healing or working to release. If a joyful or "positive" card shows up in the Waning phase, ask: What resistance am I ready to let go of so I can fully receive this? Let the images, numbers, and symbols speak. There is no wrong way to receive guidance. This spread is about uncovering what’s happening in your unconscious not predicting the future but co-creating it. The tarot reveals what supports you, what challenges you, and what lies beneath the surface. It's a mirror for your personal development growth. Trust the spiral. Trust your timing. Trust yourself. And when you try this spread, let me know how it feels for you in the comments. I’d love to hear what unfolds. Ready to spiral deeper? - The Body's Cosmic connection to Astrology and Herbalism
Discover the cosmic ties between astrology and herbalism! Uncover how each zodiac sign influences specific body areas and the supporting herbs to nurture them. Astrology and Herbalism While many people know about astrological signs and their correspoding personality traits, few people know the astrological connection to the physical body. Each of the twelve zodiac signs in astrology rules over specific areas of the human body, influencing our strengths, vulnerabilities, and overall well-being. This blog post outlines these cosmic connections, exploring the twelve zodiac signs and the corresponding body areas they are rule over. Additionally, I've listed supporting herbs to support and nurture these areas. Please note that herbs are multifacted and are more than the sum of their parts. Some herbs support many functions. - SMART Goals: Design the Life You Want
Your dreams deserve a plan! Align Tarot with the SMART Goals framework to bring clarity, action, and manifestation into your life. “A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.” - Greg Reid Manifestation requires more than just seeing pretty pictures on a vision board —it requires a strategy to make it happen. One of my favorite tools for designing the life I want is the Tarot . Not only do I use it for self-reflection and decision-making, but I also incorporate it into setting SMART goals —a framework that ensures goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound . I looked through the Tarot deck to see which Major Arcana cards align with this framework, and here’s what I discovered: S – Be Specific with The Magician The Magician reminds us that we have all the tools we need to manifest our desires. He works with creativity (fire/wands), practicality (earth/pentacles), intellect (air/swords), and intuition (water/cups). Action Step: Write down your goal and make it as specific as possible. Instead of "I want to be healthier," say, "I will practice yoga three times a week to improve flexibility and reduce stress." M – Measure Progress with The Emperor The Emperor is all about structure and foundations. He encourages us to define metrics so we can track progress and celebrate achievements. Action Step: Identify measurable signs of success. If your goal is financial stability, define a clear target: "Save $5,000 by the end of the year." A – Take Action with The Chariot The Chariot moves forward with purpose, focus, and discipline. He represents the drive needed to overcome obstacles and reach your destination. Action Step: What steps can you take today to move toward your goal? If your goal is writing a book, an action step might be: "Write 500 words daily." R – Stay Realistic with Justice Justice is about honesty and alignment. This card invites you to reflect on whether your goal is realistic and aligns with your personal values. Action Step: Ask yourself: Do I have the resources to achieve this? If not, what’s missing? If your goal is to launch a business, do you have the financial backing or a plan to secure it? T – Set a Timeline with The World The World represents completion and achievement. Setting a timeline creates accountability and momentum. Action Step: Establish deadlines: What can you achieve in six weeks? Six months? A year? Write it down and commit. SMART Goals Prompts Specific: Write down your goal be as specific as possible. Measurable: What metrics do you have in place to keep your goals on track? Attainable : What actions can you take today to reach your goal? Relevant : Do you have the resources and capacity to attain the goal? If not, what are you missing? Time Bound: What is the target accomplishment date? Use Tarot to quickly identify challenges, strategies, wisdom, and actions to reach your goal SMART Goals Tarot Spread What is my goal? Go through deck - face up - and pick a card that represents your goal. What challenges do I have to look out for? What strategy will help resolve the challenges? What wisdom do I gain from overcoming this challenge? What action can I implement right now? TIP: Move card number 5 to the number 1 position and find challenges, strategies, wisdom and another action. Example SMART Goals Tarot Reading Goal : The King of Pentacles - Start a business that provides a sustainable income (card chosen consciously) Challenge : Five of Swords - Fear of failure, self-doubt, or worrying about what others think. Strategy : Ace of Wands - Lean into creativity, personal will, and enthusiasm. Wisdom : Wheel of Fortune - Life is always changing, success comes from adaptability. Action : Four of Cups - Reach out to potential customers and offer value today. Let me know how this method works for you in the comments section.
