  • Vision Board

How is your year going? Have you made resolutions or goals? Most people do and then forget it about them. This year I'm working with visual resolutions on a vision board. What is a Vision Board? A collection of images, words, and phrases that represent the actions you want to take, the person you want to be, and the things you want to have in your life. It serves as a daily reminder of your heart's desires. I made my first vision board around 2013. I cut pictures and words out of magazines and glued them to a piece of cardboard. It was fun to make and my goal was to make it look nice with things I liked and wanted (Chanel bag I'm still waiting). One of things I put on the first vision board was a cruise ship and I unexpectedly ended up on a mediterranean cruise later that year. It wasn't until about year after the cruise that vision board resurfaced from its hiding place and I was startled to see the cruise ship in the center of the board. Realizing wow, this really works. The second attempt at making a vision board in 2015 was a little more focused. I wanted to tap into my purpose and passions and get my finances in order. I included a picture of someone in downward dog position with a caption "Affirm your life's purpose in downward facing dog." In 2016, on a whim, signed up for Rina Jakubowicz Yoga, Life, and Happiness weekend course at Kripalu and one of the techniques she used was affirmations during yoga. I ended that year with a Yoga Teacher 100 hour Certification. I didn’t even know Yoga could be combined with affirmations. Six years since I made my last vision board and I felt drawn to make another. This time the universe was driving me to make one. A friend mentioned she was making one for the new year sparking my interest, then my daughter said she was going to make a vision board, and finally life coach and tarot reader Dina Berrin hosted a class about creating a clear and empowering vision for one's life. She talked us through the 8 life zones which are very similar to the 8 pillars of wellness I wrote about last month. She also guided us to think about how we want to feel in the future. I think visioning what one will look like in the future is very powerful. I see myself living authentically and with integrity. I also see myself as an entrepreneur, playing it big, designing my future, very versatile, and setting goals. Above is the vision board I started last week and while it is beautiful (tooting my own horn) and it has intention behind it I'm realizing that if I really want to manifest, nuture the talent within, set goals, etc I have to do more than just see the words on the board. The next step in making what I put into my vision board into a reality is actually setting SMART Goals for all the words and phrases. Otherwise I will only manifest one or two things on the board instead of all the things. And I want all the things! It is important to get clear otherwise what comes through will be clouded. So, now my vision board is somewhat complete and the journaling and envisioning is what comes next. I suspect it will be be a work in progress. Perhaps I will make another next year, time will tell. So... you want to make your own vision board? I suggest you set aside a 3-5 hours. Get a a couple of friends to join you. Put on some joyful music and have lots of fun. Materials you will need: Poster board Glue stick Pens and Markers Magazines Printouts from internet Scissors Intention Goals Vision Check out this blog post about how to make a vision board in detail. Let me know if you've made a vision board. Did you manifest what you put on it?

  • What is Yes Spiral?

Some years ago, I made the choice to say yes to the opportunities that were presenting themselves instead if saying no. Very soon after making this choice I almost instantly became more popular. I noticed a lot more invitations were coming my way and I was exposed to a more diverse set of people and circumstances. It’s like the old saying: when the student is ready the teacher appears. In 2010 I went to Barnes and Nobel and walked out with my very own Tarot deck. For the next few years I immersed myself in tarot learning as much as I could from books, websites, and classes around NYC. In 2013 I enrolled in an intensive program called Five-Day Spring Detox for a Vibrant Life at Kripalu with Tiffany Cruikshank where we practiced yoga, learned about nutrition, & myofascial release. In 2014 I went all in for an intensive immersion into Gendai Reiki Ho with Audrey and James Pearson. In 2015 I went to 2 days 2 nights Readers Studio Tarot Conference where I advanced my Tarot knowledge and joined an international tarot community. In 2016 I went through 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training en Espanol at Kripalu with Rina Jakubowicz. In 2017 I plunged into the world of Herbalism in a 5 day program called Everyday Herbalism: Backyard & Kitchen Remedies where we learned how to identify herbs in their natural habit, how to forage them, and prepare them in different ways taught by Jacquelyn Dobrinska. In 2018 I enrolled at CUNY School of Professional Studies to pursue a Bachelors degree in Communications and Media. I’ve created this blog and website as part of a homework assignment for one of my classes. I’m sharing this with you because the choices we make propel us forward, hold us back, or keep us in place. We are constantly evolving into positive or negative spirals of synchronicity. In present day 2019 I am dedicating myself to be of service. I want to share with you quick and easy tips and tricks to lead a more curated life. Of all the spirals I went on over the years Yoga, Tarot, & Herbs are the ones I find to be foundational to any lifestyle. Yoga grounds the body and mind connection, Tarot facilitates a connection to the spiritual and mental realms, and Herbs preserve and support the body in self-restoration. I was born in, raised in, and continue to live in, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. A small and congested island filled with diversity, inclusion, and expansion. Finding and sharing bits of nature amidst the paved streets and towers is of great nourishment to me, so is traveling, and of course learning the ancient arts of our ancestors. My intention with this YesSpiral is to connect with you by sharing the tools I have accumulated over the years. I would love for you to find what nourishes you so you can return to the ever-full well within you and continually be rejuvenated. Sign up for my newsletter if you want to keep up with what I’m up to, follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, or check out my website. I look forward to connecting with you soon! #lifestyle #decisionmaking

  • What's your 2026 tarot card?

Happy New Year! The collective energy is buzzing with hope as we step into a blank slate filled with possibilities. What will you plan, dream, or manifest in the year ahead? For years now I have calculated my tarot year card. I first discovered this practice through the Tarot School's concept of Tarot Birth Cards, but later I learned that Mary Greer wrote extensively about Tarot Year Cards in her book, Who Are You in the Tarot? Haha, great minds think alike, right? Every new year we are presented with blessings, challenges, and lessons. 2025 is no different. Going through it all turns into our wisdom. Knowing your Tarot Year Card helps you recognize these themes, prepare for what's ahead, and grow wiser from each experience. Every year brings blessings, challenges, and lessons. Our path shapes who we are and becomes our wisdom. What are Tarot Year Cards? Tarot Year Cards are a way to explore the unique themes, lessons, and opportunities each year brings, based on the Major Arcana. Each year of your life corresponds to a specific tarot card that reflects the energy and focus of that year. These cards act as a guide, offering insights into the blessings, challenges, and growth opportunities you may encounter. The concept intrigued me so much that I created a spreadsheet to calculate my Tarot Year Cards from birth (my Tarot Birth Card) all the way to my 100th year. Through this exercise, I discovered a fascinating pattern: Tarot Year Cards follow ten-year cycles, appearing in chronological order and resetting in the 11th year. I’ll share more about these cycles soon, but first, let’s explore the 2025 collective Tarot Card theme. What is the collective Tarot Card Theme for 2026? The collective Tarot Card theme for 202t is The Wheel of Fortune. Opportunities | Cycles | Changes This is a year of motion, alignment, and cosmic timing. What felt stuck in 2025 shakes loose. What once seemed impossible suddenly sits right within reach. You step into new roles, new visibility, and new rhythms because your persistence has paid off and the universe agrees: It’s time! This is the year the Wheel is turning in your favor. How do I calculate my Tarot Year Card? Want to discover your 2026 Tarot Year Card? It’s simple and based on numerology! Numerology is the study of the spiritual and symbolic meanings of numbers, and it’s often used to uncover patterns in our lives. By adding the digits of your birth date and the year, you create a single number that corresponds to one of the 22 Major Arcana cards. Each card represents a theme or energy guiding you through the year. Add your birth month and day together. Example: August 20 = 08 + 20 = 28. Add this sum to the desired year. Example: 28 + 2026 = 2054. Reduce the result to a number between 1 and 22 (corresponding to the Major Arcana). Example: 2054 → 2 + 0 + 5 + 4 = 11. The 2026 Tarot Year Card is: Justice! Themes: Discernment | Balance | Accountability. This simple calculation connects your birth energy with the collective energy of the year, offering insights into the opportunities, challenges, and lessons ahead. Click here to find your theme. Exploring Tarot Year Cards Over Time Tarot Year Cards follow a fascinating ten-year cycle. The cards appear in chronological order for ten years and reset on the 11th year. Let’s take a closer look at a portion of my own cycle. I’ve included 14 years so you can see two years before the cycle starts and two years after it resets. Over time, I’ve noticed patterns in how certain cards reappear while others are absent entirely. Recurring cards, like Justice and The Hanged Man, represent ongoing lessons and areas I’m continuously working on. On the other hand, some cards, like The High Priestess and Judgement, never show up for me. I interpret this to mean that I naturally embody these energies, while the recurring cards highlight areas where I have room to grow. Take some time to reflect: Recurring Cards: Which cards appear most often for you? These likely represent your life lessons. Absent Cards: Which cards don’t appear at all? These may reflect qualities you’ve already mastered. Tracking your Tarot Year Cards over time is a fun and enlightening way to uncover patterns in your life. It offers a unique perspective on your personal growth journey, helping you understand what to focus on and what to embrace. Lessons from My Tarot Year Cards: Past, Present, & Future After all the years I’ve tracked my Tarot Year Card, 2025 has been a reminder that the energy doesn’t switch on January 1. Because the Tarot Year Card calculation is based on your birthday (birth month + day + year in question), the shift usually lands around that time, in my case, its August. That’s why the energy of 2024’s Hermit stayed with me well into 2025. It wasn’t until early summer, that I finally started to feel The Wheel of Fortune’s themes of cycles and changes. I expect the same gradual transition as I move toward 2026. For 2026, my Tarot Year Card is Justice, marking a shift from the changes and momentum of the Wheel into a year focused on discernment, balance, and accountability. In 2025, I worked under a blend of The Hermit (2024–2025) and The Wheel of Fortune (2025–2026) while reviewing and revising New Moon Life Design—a major project three years in the making. That stretch of time demanded the persistence of Strength (2023), the introspection of The Hermit (2024), and the turning-point changes of The Wheel of Fortune (2025). Now, as I move toward 2026, the overlap between the Wheel and Justice makes the message clear: my decisions matter. The opportunities I take and the ones I decline will shape what becomes possible. This lines up with the April 2026 launch of my book, which marks a new chapter in my work. I’m also stepping more fully into my role as a teacher. Since New Moon Life Design functions as a year-long course, I have everything I need to begin offering more structured teaching throughout the year. Justice supports steady, intentional effort rather than scattered action. Looking ahead to 2027, my Tarot Year Card will be The Hanged Man, which brings themes of perspective, letting go, and sacrifice. This tells me that the movement of the Wheel and the accountability of Justice will naturally lead to a moment where I’ll need to release something to make space for what I’m building toward in 2028. It’s not scary or dramatic, it’s simply awareness of how cycles progress and how each card archetype prepares the ground for what comes next. In past years, cards like The Devil taught me to address unhealthy habits and patterns, while The Lovers emphasized the importance of aligned commitment and partnership. Each year brings its own set of lessons, and understanding my Tarot Year Card ahead of time helps me move through those themes with more clarity, intention, and focus. Visualizing Growth Through Your Year Card The Tarot Year Card reveals opportunities for growth, reflection, and or release. If your card aligns with something you’re ready to let go of, visualize yourself actively moving past it. If it reflects a strength, focus on amplifying its energy throughout the year. What is your 2026 tarot card theme? Now it’s your turn! Calculate your 2026 Tarot Year Card using the steps above. What themes resonate with you? • So you want to learn Tarot?

If you want to learn Tarot then you have to wait until someone gifts you a deck. If you purchase it yourself you will have bad luck! Ha! That is not true. Have you ever heard something like that before? I purchased my own deck and later heard about how it was bad luck but I don't believe in superstitions. I had a strong urge to have a Tarot Deck and learn what it was all about and everything has turned out just fine. Now if you have been thinking about a deck, get one. I suggest you start off with a Rider Waite Deck because it is the one most commonly referenced in books and on websites when looking up meanings and many decks use a lot of the same symbolism of the 1910 publication. To get started I suggest you: Get a tarot deck Get a journal Schedule time to work with the deck for about 5-15 minutes every day (first thing in the morning worked well for me) Pick a card (random or in order) and journal first thing that comes to mind Look up meaning, write down what resonates Consider the card through out the day Here are some of my favorite self study resources: LearnTarot.com It's free! It lists descriptions of all the cards and includes a free course to get you started. The New Tarot Handbook by Rachel Pollack. Her book Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom is more well known and in depth but I prefer short and sweet. The Tarot School, get on their Tarot Tips mailing list for esoteric insights. Also to find out about their Tarot Salon (going virtual) and the annual Readers Studio Tarot Conference. The Fools Dog tarot Apps for both iPhone and Android. If you want to have tarot on your phone. These are the best apps out there. The best part is you get the whole deck and book for easy and quick reference for about $3.99. If you are not ready to make a financial commitment commitment download the Tarot Sampler otherwise I suggest you start with The Classic 1910 Tarot. The Tarot Lady Theresa Reed has a ton of information on her website and she does daily Tarot, Transits and Tangents Live videos on Instagram, she has two podcasts, and she is the author of multiple books, including Tarot No Questions Asked: Mastering the Art of Intuitive Reading, and so much more! These are my Favorite decks: Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot Deck in a Tin by US Games Systems - This is the deck that is used as a reference in most books and is widely used as an example. Gaian Tarot by Joanna Powell Colbert Tarot De St. Croix by Lisa de St. Croix Alchemical Tarot by Robert M Place The Motherpeace Round Tarot Deck by Karen Vogel and Vicki Nobel Do you have a tarot deck? Which was your first one? Did you buy it yourself? Was it a gift? What is your favorite deck? How do you use tarot? Tell me all about it.

  • Waning 3rd Qtr Moon in Leo

The moon is waning/third quarter in Leo today. It is also the day after the media projected Joseph Biden is the next president of the United States! The announcement is a Leo thing to do as it loves to be in spotlight. Leo is a fixed fire sign, it is generous, has charisma, and loves drama. As Theresa Reed says in Astrology for Real Life "the High Vibe is dramatic, bold, glam, loves to rule, exuberant, exciting, regal, generous bighearted, affectionate, and loyal. The Low Vibe is overly dramatic, self-centered, egomaniacal, prone to flattery, bossy, vain, demanding, unreasonable, and overbearing." The tarot cards associated with Leo are: Strength: Represents courage, Self-discipline, and Determination. The energy is generous, warm, dramatic, optimistic, honorable, frank, and energetic. The card emits a sense of fearlessness. The Sun Our source of light and life energy. The sun represents our ego and the self. It symbolizes confidence, self-esteem, willpower and purpose. It suggests vitality. King of Wands Fire of Fire Embodies the energies of Strength and The Sun by being Confident and Courageous and a source of inspiration. The waning moon is a good time to reflect on the course of the moonth. During this particular moonth three quarters of the year have also passed us by and is a good time to start reflecting on the year 2020. It is certain this is an unusual year. Many of us have lived this year differently than any other year. It has changed many of us. As you look back over the events of the past year (if you are not ready, reflect on this moonth), think about yourself, your place in the world, where you were when we started, and where you are today. How have you changed? Where in your life have you grown stronger? Did the plans you made at the beginning of year (moonth) become a reality? What plans did you abandon, and why?   How did you meet the challenge or embrace the surprises that 2020 brought you?   What is the emerging theme of 2020 for you?   Next up is the Dark Moon in Libra on November 13th.

  • Virgo Waning Moon

Reflection · Release · Integration The waning moon marks the final phase of the moonth. It’s a time to slow down, close things out, and choose what still feels meaningful enough to bring into the next cycle. Virgo’s Influence: What Needs Attention At the Virgo waning moon, attention turns to daily habits, routines, and how your body has been feeling. This is a time to notice what you do each day and how it affects your energy, focus, and well-being as the cycle comes to a close. Some routines have been helpful and steady. Others feel unnecessary or hard to keep up with. This phase also brings attention to where you’ve been doing more than your share, fixing things for others, or stepping in out of habit instead of need. Virgo’s influence focuses on usefulness. This is a time to keep what helps you get things done with less effort and step back from habits or responsibilities that make daily tasks harder. Virgo Reflection · Release · Integration Practices Reflection during the Virgo waning moon phase means looking closely at how your days have been structured. Notice how your body feels at the end of the day, which habits support your health, and which ones leave you feeling worn out. Release involves stepping back from routines, tasks, or responsibilities that no longer help. This includes habits that don’t support your health, schedules that feel too tight, or taking on work for others that isn’t actually yours. Integration is about choosing simpler, more supportive ways to move through your day. It means keeping routines that help you feel steady and letting go of the rest before starting something new. Virgo Waning Moon Journaling Prompts The Virgo waning moon brings focus to health, routines, and daily responsibility. This is a time to reflect on how your habits affect your body, release what feels draining or unnecessary, and decide what helps your daily life run more smoothly. Use the questions below to guide your reflection. Which daily habits helped me feel focused and organized? What part of my routine feels hardest to maintain? What habit or task no longer supports my health? Where am I doing more than is expected or needed? What daily responsibility am I ready to step back from? The Virgo waning moon reminds us that small adjustments matter. When we simplify our routines and stop carrying unnecessary responsibilities, daily life becomes easier to care for as we move into the next cycle.
